DESCRIPTION:Start Up Bromley Hosts Neil Infield from The British Library BIPC who will cover understanding your businesses intellectual property\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout this event\n\n\nThe Start Up Bromley Business Week will run Monday 14 March – Saturday 19 March and will include: workshops\, a business panel and the Business Pitch Competition Final. Ending the week will be the Spring Marketplace at Contingent Works on Saturday 19 March (11:00 – 16:00). \nTaking place in the Workshop Room at Bromley Central Library. \nThe fourth day of workshops will be on Intellectual Property for Business \nAbout the workshop: \nThe British Library Business & IP Centre is an amazing free resource for anyone starting or growing a business. This workshop will introduce you to the resources and business support available at the centre\, as well as help you understand the key elements of intellectual property which is a vital aspect of your business. Topics discussed will include: \n\nPatents\nRegistered Designs\nCopyright\nTrade Marks\nCommercial Secrets\n\n  \nAbout the host: \nNeil Infield – Manager – British Library Business & IP Centre \nNeil is a SFEDI accredited business advisor\, and runs regular advice clinics. In his 16 years at the Library he has delivered a wide range of workshops including How to research your market and Why you need a Trade Mark. \n  \nIf you wish to attend the event and are not already a member\, you will need to register with Start Up Bromley first. \nStart Up Bromley is operated by GLL on behalf of Bromley Council and provides support to aspiring entrepreneurs and new businesses in the borough of Bromley.

DESCRIPTION:Start Up Bromley hosts the Business Pitch Competition Finals\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout this event\n\n\nThe Start Up Bromley Business Week will run Monday 14 March – Saturday 19 March and will include: workshops\, a business panel and ending the week will be the Spring Marketplace at Contingent Works on Saturday 19 March (11:00 – 16:00). \nTaking place on the fourth floor of Bromley Central Library. \nAbout the Business Pitch Finals \nThe event will begin with the showing of the Start Up Bromley Film (filmed and edited by Patrick Bowyer) which highlights the activities of Start Up Bromley since its launch in early 2021. \nWe are excited to announce Sasha Qadri will emcee the Business Pitch finals. The finals will consist of six Start Up Bromley members\, who will deliver a live business pitch to three esteemed judges. The winner of the competition will win £2\,000\, 2nd place £1\,000 and third place £500 to invest in their respective businesses. \nSasha Qadri \nSasha Qadri is an experienced TV news presenter with a track record which includes Sky News and Reuters. For many years she has been a popular corporate events moderator\, hosting business events\, panels and roundtable discussions. She also works regularly for Bloomberg\, where she shapes editorial content for events and moderates business conversations for Bloomberg Live. \nHaving begun her career in investment banking\, Sasha has a strong interest in financial services and business content. She is a frequent moderator of events on the impact of digital disruption and how businesses are reacting to the rapid pace of digital change in a technology-driven society. Dell EMC\, HPE\, Microsoft\, Accenture and Atom Bank are among the companies Sasha has worked with. \nHaving produced news for CNN\, CNBC and Channel 4 news\, Sasha is equally comfortable in front of the camera\, regularly interviewing leading newsmakers\, business leaders and politicians \nStart Up Bromley is operated by GLL on behalf of Bromley Council and provides support to aspiring entrepreneurs and new businesses in the borough of Bromley.
