Our Business & IP Centre Reference team will then cover: \nHow you can plan you research\, using tools like the Business Model Canvas and Value Proposition Canvas\nDifferent research sources and methods\, including field research\, customer development and Minimum Viable Product\nInformation sources at the British Library’s BIPC.\nSession 2: How to Protect a Business Idea (14.00 – 17.00) \nIn the second session\, we will start to delve into what is unique in your business and how you can protect it and make money from it in the future. We will cover: \nPatents\nRegistered Designs\nTrademarks\nCopyright\nKnow-how and Trade Secrets\nYour business will definitely have some form of intellectual property\, whether it is in the design\, name\, logo\, brand or the product itself\, so this a crucial stage in the success of your business. We will also cover other sources of IP support available at the British Library. \nThroughout the session\, there will be generous breaks and time for questions.
